Until now, 16–35 mm wide-angle zoom lenses were typically Trinity lenses with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. Now, Sony has introduced the FE 12–24 mm f/2.8 GM, a super-wide-angle zoom lens that also boasts a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. The standout feature of this lens is its ultra-wide-angle field of view, which, when used with full-frame cameras, ranges from 88° to 122°. This makes the lens particularly well-suited for landscape, architectural and reportage photography, as well as for shooting in low-light conditions such as astrophotography or interior photography.
