The 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (model B070) is a fast standard zoom lens for Sony mirrorless cameras with an APS-C sensor. It has been developed with the aim of achieving the best possible balance between a wide zoom range and high image quality. With a focal length of 17–70 mm (equivalent to 25.5–105 mm in 35 mm format), it is the world’s first¹ interchangeable lens with a 4.1x standard zoom and a maximum aperture of F/2.8 for APS-C cameras. The 17–70 mm is equipped with Tamron’s proprietary VC image stabiliser. The shortest focusing distances, 19 cm at the wide-angle end and 39 cm at the telephoto end, allow for impressive close-ups with a soft background blur.
