Tamron is celebrating its 75th anniversary with this new product. The new G2 model retains its compact design but extends the wide-angle range from 28 mm to 25 mm, whilst maintaining the 200 mm telephoto focal length. It offers improved image quality and faster, more precise autofocus thanks to the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing system. With a maximum magnification of 1:1.9 at the wide-angle end, it allows for close-up shots in the semi-macro range.
